Zip Extract
Updated 2026-09-13 · DocsAll Guides
Quick answer: Open ZIP archives in the browser and download all or selected files — nothing uploaded. Open 解压 ZIP — everything runs locally in your browser, and files never leave your device.
Steps
- Upload the .zip to the Extract tool.
- Browse the file tree inside.
- Download everything or pick individual files.
Important notes
- Local extraction: the archive contents never leave your device.
- Mojibake filenames mean the packer used a non-UTF-8 encoding — try a system unzip tool.
- Password-protected archives are not supported.
Common questions
Preview inside? Text and images preview; other types download first.
Extraction failed? Verify archive integrity (size/hash) — damaged archives cannot be opened.
When to use this
After extraction, check for a nested folder: many archives wrap everything in one directory, and moving files up avoids double paths.
Pro tips
Treat every archive as mildly untrusted until inspected: browse the file list before extracting anything to spot suspicious paths — files with .. in the name, executable types you did not expect, or an archive that is suspiciously small for what it claims to contain (zip-bomb pattern). For trusted archives, the common annoyance is the wrapper folder: some archives wrap everything in one directory, others scatter files at the root — extract to a fresh empty folder every time so scatter cannot overwrite anything.
Why do extracted filenames look wrong? The packer used a legacy encoding (often GBK or CP437) — filenames are cosmetic; extract and rename, or re-pack on a UTF-8 system.
