Text Encode/Decode: URL, Base64, HTML Entities

Updated 2026-09-13 · DocsAll Guides

Quick answer: Encode or decode URL percent-encoding (%E4%B8%AD) and Base64 strings. Open 编解码转换 — everything runs locally in your browser, and files never leave your device.

Steps

  1. Paste the string into the Encode/Decode tool.
  2. Choose URL or Base64, and the direction.
  3. Copy the output.

Important notes

  • URL-encoding has two granularities: encode a full URL while keeping ? & = separators, or encode a single parameter value completely — pick the right mode.
  • Base64 is encoding, not encryption — anyone can decode it, so never use it to hide secrets.
  • Chinese text that decodes to mojibake usually means one side used GBK and the other UTF-8.

Common questions

Why does Base64 end with =? Padding to a multiple of 4 bytes — keep it intact when copying.

Decode fails — why? Check for stray spaces/newlines, or URL-safe Base64 (- and _ instead of + and /).
